C & G Consulting, Inc Certified Naval Diesel Inspector in Pascagoula, Mississippi

This is a job for a Certified Naval Diesel Inspector position with a company located in Pascagoula, MS.

Responsibilities Include: Utilize primary skills in condition-based maintenance assessment of Diesel Engines. Utilize knowledge in engine performance analysis, repairs, machinery vibration and failure analysis. Utilize knowledge in interpreting, reviewing, and applying engine work specifications, engine maintenance standards/practices, repair procedures and technical documentation. Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, visit processes and reporting methods for visits. Demonstrate regularly using accepted current instrumentation for diagnosing equipment. Demonstrate ability for interpreting wiring, piping diagrams and control schematics. Demonstrate ability for interpreting manufactures technical manuals and drawings and shipboard engine operational compliance procedures. Utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files. Communicate effectively in writing and orally. Position requires travel.

General experience: Twelve (12) years of experience within last 10 years in the operation, repair and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion and auxiliary equipment.  Work independently.

Specialize Experience shall demonstrate the individuals ability to: Must have a current certification as a U.S. Navy Fleet Diesel Engine Inspector (DEI). Demonstrated expertise in Navy Diesel Engine Inspections, Main Propulsion Diesel Engines (MPDE), Ships Service Diesel Generators (SSDG), Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG), and associated support systems to include lube oil, fuel oil sea water, engine jacket water, engine control systems (electronic/pneumatic) and Vibration, Performance and failure Analysis. If retired from active duty, must have been an inspector in good standing with NAVSEA and successfully able to regain a current certification from NAVSEA within 3 months of starting.
