    Here is what you will be doing:

  • Must understand and implement the Savage Maintenance Program

  • Perform a pre/post shift equipment inspection.

  • Maintain and report spare parts inventory

  • Properly record and complete maintenance reports and service records

  • Repair and maintain bridge crane electrical components, motors, gearboxes, crane wheels, crane cables, PLC, drives, inventors and plant specific equipment

  • Complete PM services on plant and process equipment

  • Assist with maintenance of locomotives, railcars and track repairs

    Requirements of a successful Industrial Electrician:

  • NCCER Electrician or Industrial State Electrician License required

  • 5 years + experience with conveyors, changing rollers, pulleys, motors, changing and vulcanizing belts, bag houses, hoppers, crushers, magnets, scales, etc.

  • 5 years + experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair, reading electrical prints, troubleshooting, PLC’s and Frequency Drive’s

  • Experience with automated equipment and basic computers are a plus

  • Must have a strong mechanical and electrical repair background

  • Experience with repairing and maintaining bridge cranes is a plus

  • Knowledge and working experience with different types of welding and cutting

  • High School Diploma or greater

  • Must be willing to work a rotating schedule and rotating call out schedule

  • Industrial Background

  • Maintenance: mechanically inclined with electrical troubleshooting experience from demanding environments that require the ability to trouble shoot and or repair equipment failures of a large scale

  • Refinery or Industrial Plant Operations: experience with high safety standards and regulations associated with hazardous industrial plant environments

  • Material Handling: experience in aggregate quarries, mills, or mines with material moving equipment such as hoppers, conveyors, reclaimers, and overhead bridge cranes and their process flow.

  • Experience with air or hydraulic operated hoist and drilling equipment is a plus

  • Additional experience operating back hoe, front end loader, dozer, or other heavy equipment is a plus

  • Experience with applying safety regulations and written procedures within a refinery or chemical plant is a plus.

    Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:

  • Work in an environment containing coal dust, hazardous noise, confined space, and in hot or cold environments

  • Walk on uneven ground and up to 3 miles per shift

  • Must have ability to wear required PPR

  • Must be able to pass a fit test and pulmonary function test for the purposes of wearing a respirator and recertify annually or as needed

  • Lift up to 50 pounds frequently
