Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Will handle a number of responsibilities in the areas of accounting, project support, and a variety of administrative duties consisting of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Reconcile monthly historical construction spending.

  • Analyze spend projections provided by the regional project managers.

  • Analyze and review initial project funding requests and budget updates.

  • Collaborate on enhancements for project management software.

  • Prepare real estate basis analytics in conjunction with yield on cost calculations.

  • Support Accounting Manager by preparing various ad hoc reports for active development, redevelopment, and tenant improvement projects.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly real estate development pipeline reports.

  • Prepare supporting analytics for SEC disclosures.

  • Review and provide support to tie out supplemental and 10-Q/10-K packages.

  • Actively participate in Real Estate Development Team process improvement initiatives.

  • Produce monthly real estate development loan draw packages and submit them to lenders and/or joint venture partners.

  • Analyze and maintain the job cost subledger, including processing and recording journal entries for job cost allocations, accruals, capitalization, and transfers to fixed assets.

  • Reconcile and track additional or excess tenant improvements to bill to tenants.

  • Provide support for a variety of special projects, including external and internal audit requests and ad hoc reports for management review.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.

  • CPA preferred.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience required.

  • Public accounting experience preferred.

  • Technical accounting research skills desirable.

  • Public commercial real estate experience or general contractor experience preferred.

  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical and communications skills preferred.

  • Proficiency in business-related software: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

  • JD Edwards accounting software and Unifier project management software experience desirable.

  • Experience working in a large team environment and collaboration across many groups preferred.

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the individual’s knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, job location, and the Company’s compensation practices.
