Kaiser Permanente Compensation Analyst II in Pasadena, California

Job Summary:

This individual contributor is responsible for assisting in the administration of compensation policies and programs under the guidance of more senior coworkers, supporting compensation analysis plans, supporting market pricing and analysis, and updating job descriptions and compensation data in HR systems as appropriate.

This position supports salary planning activities, supports the validation of job evaluation data, and provides assistance on projects as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers; listening, responding to, and seeking performance feedback; acknowledging strengths and weaknesses; assessing and responding to the needs of others; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines; following procedures and policies and applying data, and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating with others, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems; supporting the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities when possible; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.

  • Assists in the administration of compensation policies and programs by researching and determining salary for new offers and promotions under the guidance of more senior employees; processing, auditing, and uploading compensation records; generating basic reports as assigned; responding to incentive or bonus payment inquiries; and supporting the administration of recognition programs.

  • Supports compensation analysis plans by compiling data; and obtaining input and resources to fulfill objectives.

  • Supports market pricing and analysis under the guidance of more senior employees by collecting competitive salary information; researching issues related to compensation surveys; performing job matching for equitable and competitive employee compensation; and participating in the completion of salary survey submissions and auditing data uploads.

  • Supports salary planning activities under the guidance of more senior employees by researching salary adjustments; assisting with salary planning/salary range processing and analysis; completing payout calculations of basic compensation plans; and reviewing salary adjustments for compliance within guidelines.

  • Supports the administration of job evaluation under the direction of a more senior employee by updating or entering job descriptions in HR systems; validating content and format; and performing job matching and market pricing under peer-review and sign-off.

  • Provides support on projects by coordinating stakeholder contacts; performing activities as assigned and executing on milestone deliverables.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Social or other sciences, Public Administration or related field OR Two (2) years experience in human resources, finance, or business operations.
