Actalent Environmental Project Manager - Hybrid in PARSIPPANY TROY HILLS, New Jersey

Job Title: Environmental Project Manager

Job Description

Participate in a wide variety of site-development, transportation, energy-related, climate adaptation, and resiliency projects. Manage permitting projects at the federal, state, and local level with a strong track record of success. Prepare permit applications, scientific reports, and environmental impact statements. Effectively coordinate field work, direct and support technical staff, interact with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, and manage budgets, invoicing, accounts receivable, schedules, and subcontractors. Support proposals and cost estimates.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, planning, or related field

  • 5 to 15 years of post-degree environmental permitting experience in New Jersey

  • Comparable permitting experience in New York (a plus)

  • Familiarity and experience preparing NEPA documentation (ENFs, EIRs, CATEXs, EAs, EISs)

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials

Soft Skills

  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal communication and technical communication skills

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules

  • Experience with sustainability and climate adaptation and resiliency planning (a plus)

  • Experience with socioeconomic and environmental justice analysis (a plus)

  • Ability to travel to support project demands, attend technical conferences, and support business development needs

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Morris County and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid: 2-3 days a week in office
