POSITION PROFILE

Satisfies customers according to company standards of quality and output by preparing, photocopying, inspecting, compiling, assembling and binding documents. Works with desk-top publishing software to ensure client files can be manipulated (or created) for proper output. Works with one of the following specialized equipment - color plotter, connected small format color printer/copier, mounting, and laminating devices. Works with Macintosh computers and software for manipulation or creation of client files for proper output. May run shifts in the absence of the Shift Manager.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves customer satisfaction by consistently preparing, inspecting, compiling, and assembling projects accurately in a timely manner.

  • Meets deadlines by working at a quick and steady pace while still maintaining quality/error free work.

  • Achieves Time Productive statistics by meeting standards established by the facility.

  • Meets company production standards by achieving at the Impressions Per Hour (IPH) rate in accordance with standards established by the branch.

  • Maximizes print performance as workflow permits, by simultaneously performing a minimum of two functions on print equipment.

  • Maintains optimal machine performance by correcting simple machine problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, etc.) and having a working knowledge of machine codes to report, in the event of equipment failure.

  • Demonstrates above average customer service by responding to client requests, ensuring the accuracy of the order taken and delivery of the completed orders in a timely manner.

  • Completes all paperwork in a timely, accurate and legible manner by reading and writing in English.

  • Troubleshoots problems by communicating effectively and promptly to manager.

  • Meeting deadlines by establishing a standard set of procedures for delivering completed jobs to clients promptly, safely, and according to their instructions.

  • Prevents assembly errors by maintaining an organized work station and utilizing the 10 Job Steps for Final Check.

  • Ensures that "Orders In" Job Board reflects current job status by maintaining constant communication with the Shift Manager.

  • Maintains an accurate Job Log by ensuring that each job is recorded at Job Check In and Invoicing.

  • Ensures adequate time is scheduled for the completion of overnight work in production by assisting the Production Manager with the completion of an overnight plan.

  • Ensures clarity of correct written and audio instructions by reviewing AM/CSR instructions and being detail-oriented.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior work experience in LDS, a legal FM, or a graphics environment is necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to work in a team environment by maintaining positive, productive relationships with co-workers, management, sales and production departments.

  • Must be able to adapt to changing situations and be flexible.

  • Must be able to perform repetitive work by continuously executing different tasks according to set procedures, sequence or pace while maintaining quality and output standards.

  • Must be able to work independently at a customer's location to retrieve and process documents on-site.

  • Has knowledge of desktop publishing software to ensure client files can be manipulated (or created) for proper output.

  • Has operational knowledge of specialized equipment such as a color plotter, connected small format color printer/copier, mounting, and laminating devices.

  • Has knowledge of Macintosh computers and software for manipulation or creation of client files for proper output.

WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Deals with time demands of work schedule by being available to work 8 to 12 hour shifts including nights, weekends, overtime and holidays depending upon volume of work to satisfy account needs.

  • Must be able to work in a production facility by adapting to moderate medium to high noise levels.

  • Deals with moderate stress levels by adapting to and coping with stressful situations for extended periods of time.

  • Position often requires ability to stand on feet for at least eight (8) hours per day.

  • To handle customer orders, may be required to move supplies by lifting 50 lbs. From the floor to waist height, carrying it 10 feed and lowering back to the floor.
