Our Purpose

At our CRDN R&D department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on developing innovative products in the Coronary and Renal Denervation portfolios. Our products improve patients lives and in this exciting PMO role, you will work with cross functional core teams throughout product lifecycles to develop, commercialize & maintain CRDN products.

This role is a hybrid role, expected to be on site 3-4 days per week.

A Day in The Life Of:

  • Represent the Project Management Office (PMO) group on cross functional teams serving as PMO in the execution New Product Development and/or Released Product Management projects. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Build cross functional project schedules from first principles. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with cross functional peers and stakeholders.

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the project management processes, guidelines, tools and business processes, including templates, best practices, and overall implementation.

  • Monitor the project from initiation through delivery and manage changing priorities on projects through effective schedule management and deployment of Project Management methodologies.

  • Support resource management & tracking activities & support the overall project management infrastructure (metrics, reporting, program updates, design & business reviews etc.).

  • Communicate organizational capacity constraints, program risks, issues and decisions to core team leader, cross functional core team members and key stakeholders.

  • Train teams on adopted project management methodologies within CRDN and within the global Medtronic PMO.

  • Be a recognized expert in your role, manage large projects or processes. Provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within the job area.

  • Provide support for QMS audit and inspection preparation specific to PDP procedures and processes as required, including resolution of audit findings.

  • Supportive PMO specific initiatives within CRDN and collaborate across other OUs on specific activities (eg. Peer reviews, training or review/update of harmonized procedures).

  • Operate as role model by striving for continuous improvement and being an agent of change.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Qualified to Degree level in Engineering / Science or related discipline and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Hardware and/or software medical device project management or development experience is desirable.

  • PMP, Agile and/or Master’s in Project Management is desirable.

  • Dynamic team member and leader who can work effectively and proactively on cross functional, global teams.

  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation & leadership skills.

  • Experienced with MS project, MS Office and other PMO tools.
