Description Are you ready to put your skills to the test? Have you always dreamed of working in the Service industry? If you answered yes, Robert Half may have the perfect role. As a Senior Accountant, you will prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, produce budgets and forecasting, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Exceptional analytical skills are required to excel in this role. This full-time position includes solid compensation, good benefits, and the possibility to grow. This Senior Accountant role is located in Park Ridge, Illinois.

What you get to do every day

  • Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

  • Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

  • Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

  • Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

  • Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Engage in various department-wide initiatives Requirements

  • 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Exceptional time management skills preferred

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

  • ERP system experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting cycle

  • Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
