Meta Postdoctoral Researcher, Brain & AI (PhD) in Paris, France

Summary:

Meta is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Brain team at FAIR (Fundamental AI Research). Individuals in this role are expected to be recognized experts in neuroscience, functional neuroimaging, time series, optimization and/or artificial intelligence, The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in developing deep learning architectures for neuroscientific data. Postdoc positions are one to two year fixed-term positions.

Required Skills:

Postdoctoral Researcher, Brain & AI (PhD) Responsibilities:

  1. Develop ML pipelines for the analysis of human brain recordings.

  2. Design, plan, execute neuroimaging study.

  3. Collaborative coding.

  4. Write publications and revise them based on the feedback from colleagues, mentor(s) and reviewers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

  2. Experience in deep learning, high-performance computing, time series.

  3. Evidence of research background with publications in top-tier conferences/journals in the related fields.

  4. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

  1. Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as publications at leading workshops, journals or conferences in Machine Learning (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).

  2. Demonstrated research and software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).

  3. Experience with manipulating and analyzing complex, large scale, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.

  4. Experience building systems based on machine learning and/or deep learning methods.

  5. Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and diverse points of view to determine a path forward.

  6. Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment.
