OVERALL ROLE

To carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels, and respond to site engineering emergencies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations and Maintenance

Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and service level agreements

  • Respond to Building Management System alarms and effect emergency repairs as required

  • To undertake procedures, regular checks and routine inspections in conjunction with the engineering team

  • Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and effective use of site systems and equipment

  • Carry out risk assessments for engineering, maintenance and repair activities

  • Perform tasks as deemed necessary by the Shift Engineer

  • Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes

  • Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements

  • To maintain and review stock levels, spares requirements through audit and timely ordering of parts

  • Ensure completion of service reports and CFIMS work orders so all data can be entered to the CFIMS system

  • To inform and escalate if any situation dictates either the failure or possible failure of any Business-Critical plant or equipment

  • Ensure all critical alarms are responded to and escalated using the pre-determined protocol

  • First line response to business-critical incidents

  • Complete Incident Reports as required

  • Be risk adverse. Able to identify potential risk to business continuity

  • Actively participate in achieving Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement target

  • Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Operating Procedures.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:

  • Holder of Diploma/Higher Certificate/ Degree in an electrical or mechanical engineering / With NC II is an advantage

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Building Services field

  • Experience of working on critical systemsWith valid driving license Knowledge of HVAC, Fire Protection, Systems, Electrical and Mechanical systems and BMS systems.

  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety Requirements

  • Good PC literacy and able to manage daily activities using various systems

  • Good understanding of BMS control system operation

  • Formulating, assessing and validating Risk Assessments and Method Statements

  • Willing to follow 6-day work schedule, with rotating shift depending on business needs

  • Willing to report on client location anywhere within NCR
