Gellert Global Group Business Development Coordinator in Paramus, New Jersey

Gellert Global Group is growing and we are in search of a Business Development Coordinator. We are the largest family owned food importer in the US servicing all channels of the food industry with products from around the world. The Business Development function is responsible for the market development, sales support, finding new products/suppliers to add to their portfolio and strategic planning of specific products in our portfolio. The Business Development Coordinator supports the Business Development Manager(s) and must work in a collaborative environment with other GGG departments including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance and our customer base of distributors and operators in order to achieve sales and profit objectives.

Essential Functions:

 

  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge for assigned products

  • Develop strategic and tactical plans that meet product sales and profit objectives

  • Collaborate with the sales force to identify growth opportunities within each sales region for assigned products

  • Support the selling effort by processing orders, printing labels

  • Collaborate with the marketing department in the development of POS, presentation and sales material for the assigned products

  • Coordinate supplier /customer support and supplies

  • Coordinate marketing support, promotional allowances, demo funds and more for assigned products

  • Prepare specific product reports

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships (as it relates to business development)

  • Explore new product opportunities through proper research, analysis and negotiations

  • Continuously rationalize product portfolio based on thorough analysis

  • Gain knowledge about your competitors and their activity

  • Work closely with Supply Chain on new item launches and inventory issues

  • Serve as a liaison between sales team and customers; manage all internal and external communication regarding specific accounts

  • Analyzing sales forecasts, demand planning, and inventory replenishment; coordinate with Procurement team to ensure sufficient vendor production

  • Engage cross functional teams (Sales/Procurement Support, Logistics, QA and Accounting) to execute plan of action, resolve issues, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer needs and drive profitable growth

  • Support Sales Manager on the day to day maintenance for accounts, including sample requests, document requests, project tracking, inventory management, and sales reports

  • Coordinate with internal support teams to guarantee timely execution of requests

  • Enter new sales, purchase order, and customer data and update changes to existing accounts in several different corporate databases

  • Manage inventory tracking, planning, and communication regarding deliveries

  • Research and troubleshoot client issue

  • Other duties as assigned

    Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication and analytical skills and the ability to conduct new product introduction and related feasibility analysis

  • Excellent attention to detail and follow up skills and sense of urgency

  • Willingness to learn and ability to focus on assigned tasks

  • Strong commuter and math skills

  • Strategic thinker
