What will you do?

In this role, you will be involved in the machining or processing of metal and non-metallic parts by operating CNC Milling Machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeder, and live tooling.

  • Optimize set-up times, maximize machine utilization

  • Ability to run CNC vertical mills/robo drills

  • Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, route instructions

  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed

  • Setup CNC lathe machines to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precision

  • Follow the in-process part inspection process, and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.

  • Communicate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.

  • Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.

  • Document all issues written to ensure a smooth transition between shifts

  • Check and perform preventive maintenance daily

  • Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

What are we looking for?

We're looking for engaged individuals who are adaptable to a changing environment, take pleasure in learning, and enjoy working with others.

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers, gauges

  • Proficient math skills

  • Ability to document machining procedures

  • Knowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling

  • Experience in Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines preferred

  • Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English

  • Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components

  • Work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies

  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment

  • Consistently stand for an entire shift

  • Strong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must, as is general mechanical knowledge

  • Willingness to be trained with a desire to learn

  • Ability to work in a team setting

  • Great work ethic, reliable, positive attitude
