UCLA Health Laboratory Technician 1, Per Diem - BURL in Panorama City, California

Description

As a Laboratory Technician, Per Diem at the BURL Clinical Laboratory at BURL Panorama City, you will play a crucial role in performing phlebotomy on patients of all ages, preparing specimens for analysis, executing laboratory functions, and assisting in the coordination of couriers and routes, with coverage required at multiple sites within Southern California. The locations include Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Woodland Hills, Santa Clarita, Porter Ranch, Calabasas, Burbank, Century City, Encino, Panorama City, and Torrance.

Salary Range: $43.56 - $43.56/hour

May convert to career.Qualifications

  • Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET).

  • Flexibility to work at any BURL location within Southern California.

  • Availability to work alternative shifts based on operational needs.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

  • Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in performing related computer procedures (LIS, HIS).

  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance practices, preferred.
