[JOB SUMMARY: [BBandE is seeking a Specifications Writing Support** to support AFCEC/CO at Tyndall AFB, FL.

  • Advise, support, and enable AF initiatives and AandE contracted efforts to execute revisions to Master Text specifications sections.
  • [Incorporate, unify and maintain updates for all Master Text specification sections and make recommendations for new sections to be added based on new requirements in compliance with the following: ]{light="" nova="" rockwell=""}
    • UFC-1-300-02, Unified Facilities Guide Specifications Format Standard.
    • MIL-STD-3007, Standard Practice for Unified Facilities Criteria and Unified Facilities.
    • Guide Specifications.
    • Construction Specifications Institute's Master Format document.
    • Reliability-Centered Building and Equipment Acceptance Guide.
    • Other (e.g., US Fed Green, Executive orders, sustainability, guiding principles).
  • Coordinate efforts during technical specification section reviews, review of the technical specifications.
  • Develop/maintain a prioritized list of technical specification sections that require updating.
  • Review the monthly status reports and provide comments.
  • Coordinate with appropriate Points of Contacts (POC) and Technical Representatives and utilize the provided Specifications Review to ensure completeness and accuracy of every maintained section.
  • Estimated tasks include assisting with preparation of 50-75 technical documents annually and providing editorial services for 100-125 specification documents annually.

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or higher degree in Architecture or Engineering.

[JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: ]{light="" nova="" rockwell=""}

Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in specification writing.
