Pavement Evaluation Team Technical Support - Tyndall AFB, FL

JOB SUMMARY:

BBandE is seeking aPavement Evaluation Team Technical Supportto assist on the IMPESS Contract onsite atTyndall AFB, FL.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with MS Office Computer software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assist with the technical resolution of pavement issues or problems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide technical expertise for criteria development and review of engineering documents.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform project reviews to include pavement and site work for pavement area repairs or new construction.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Provide support to the Airfield Pavement Evaluation (APE) Team for conducting annual airfield, roads, and parking pavement evaluations including field work, analysis and technical report composition on the fundamentals of pavement evaluation to include utilization of pavement evaluation applications including use of PAVER Pavement Management System and Pavement Computer Aided Structural Engineering (PCASE) software applications.
  • Shall draft/review/edit evaluation products for technical accuracy and consistency and apply engineering judgment/analysis of evaluation results from field work and pavement evaluation application outputs.
  • Shall travel for on-site evaluations to include overseas locations.
  • Shall assist in documenting program files, organizing files and providing administrative support, such as updating and maintaining technical support resources such as CE DASH.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Motivated self-starters requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 60% of the time.
  • Operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
  • Light lifting, under 10 lbs.
  • Ability to be on-site.
