[JOB SUMMARY: [BBandE is seeking an **On-Call Mechanical Conveyance Technical Support to support AFCEC/CO onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL.

[ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ]{light="" nova="" rockwell=""}]{light="" nova="" rockwell=""}]{light="" nova="" rockwell=""}]{light="" nova="" rockwell=""}

  • Assist with the technical resolution of elevator system issues or problems provided by base, installations or MAJCOMs.
  • Assistance will include travel to CONUS and OCONUS installations.
  • Provide technical maintenance expertise for criteria development and review of engineering documents including UFCs, UFGSs, and AF publications.
  • Perform project reviews for maintenance and technical capability for renovations and new facilities or infrastructure.
  • Comment on new commercially available and emerging technologies pertaining to elevators and other mechanical conveyances such as cranes, hoists and escalators.
  • Assist in documenting program files, assist and provide technical expertise at meetings, organizing files and providing administrative support, such as updating and maintaining technical support resources such as CE DASH requests.
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of training and presentations at training programs and courses in the fuel system subject area of expertise.
  • Estimated tasks include assisting with resolution of 45-55 elevator system issues annually; performing 5-10-15 site visits annually; reviewing 10-15 engineering documents annually (CDRL A002); reviewing 10-20 projects annually; providing information on five (5) to seven (7) new or emerging technology items annually; assisting with training materials for three (3) to five (5) training events annually; and assisting with and documenting 40-60 CE DASH requests annually.

  • Associate degree or higher in Engineering Technology.

[JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: ]{light="" nova="" rockwell=""}

  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintain and inspecting elevator systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to read design drawings.
  • US Citizenship and active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 60% of the time.

Operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
