Job Summary:Support the design and implementation of IPv4 and IPv6 networks running concurrently on LAN. Support the implementation of NAT64 on the WAN. Support the implementation of IPv6 routing protocols. Develop, test, and integrate information technology products including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other networking solutions as needed. Document and deliver technical reports to senior leadership. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

  • Design and implement concurrent IPv4 and IPv6 networks
  • Implement NAT64 in LAN/WAN environment
  • Provide subject matter expertise in IPv6 protocols and technologies (DHCPv6, SLAAC, stateful vs stateless, ICMPv6 requirements, etc.)
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices (Firewalls, routers, switches)
  • Develop and maintain network documentation for existing networks and future designs

Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Level I, II or III certifications e.g., Security+, CASP, etc.
  • Experience designing IPv4 and IPv6 networks
  • Experience designing and operating IPv4 and IPv6 networks in the same environment
  • Experience implementing NAT64
  • Experience with routing protocols for IPv6 such as OSPFv3, BGP-4 for IPv6, etc.
  • Experience securing IPv6 networks
  • Able to clearly communicate complex network problems and their solutions
  • Able to work with minimum instruction and oversight individually or in a collaborative environment

Desired Skill Requirements:

  • Experience with successful IPv6 transition projects
  • Experience in evaluating new network management technologies and making recommendations to managers regarding the integration of those technologies into the existing network
  • Familiar with networked systems and management of those systems

Education/Equivalent:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, but will accept experience in lieu of degree

Travel Required: Up to 10%
