The Opportunity:

As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to comes to configuring and maintaining components in complex sensor systems. We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to continue helping maintain in-service U.S. Navy hardware sensor systems to ensure the Navy can continue to perform essential missions, support hardware troubleshooting, and perform hands-on installation and configuration of critical hardware and

software.

cians that directly support the Navy with developing and maintaining critical sensor systems in a collaborative environment. That's why we need you, an electrical engineer, with a wide-base of knowledge including electronics hardware development, lab-based testing, and computer science to help us develop solutions for our client.

You'll perform analyses of present and future te

chnologies, develop engineering change proposals, troubleshoot and maintain critical program hardware assets, evaluate and install

software packages, and c

onduct system and subsystem testing. You'll directly impact the mission of the client by using your electrical engineering knowledge to develop prototypes and support operationally fielded systems. Join us and take on exciting challenges as we support our warfighters.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with the maintenance and configuration of electrical systems and IT-assets, including electronics, electromechanical components, power systems, and computer systems

  • Experience supporting or conducting test events in laboratory, prototyping, or field environments

  • Experience working with computer and IT-assets, and supporting asset maintenance, laptop hardware replacement and installation, configuration of system specifications and settings, and installation of software updates on program laptops and program hardware systems

  • Ability to assess, review, and troubleshoot hardware assets, coordinate logistics, and repair activities based on technical assessments and lab-based testing

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information such as concepts and results to internal and external audiences, technical and non-technical stakeholders in written reports, 2D technical drawings, and database entries, and verbally in team meetings and technical reviews

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or Computer Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing electrical drawings, diagrams, and schematics

  • Experience with fabrication, assembly, maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting of electromechanical prototype, maritime, or military systems

  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles as they apply to hardware design, including electronics, wire harnesses, digital computers, computer engineering, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, robotics, radio-frequency engineering, signal processing, instrumentation, and microelectronics

  • Knowledge of programming using programming languages, including C or C++

  • Secret clearance

  • Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
