Position Summary, Senior Systems Engineer Innovative Professional Solutions, Inc. (IPS) a successful defense contractor located in Panama City Beach, Floridahas provided exceptional support to our Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) customers for more than 20 years. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and motivated Senior Systems Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment. The person who fills the Senior Systems Engineering position will provide systems engineering support for shipboard operations, manning, systems design and employment, and tactics.

Highlights of Responsibilities: Review/update Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Module (MM)requirements and link MM requirements to Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Package System/Subsystem Specification (SSS) requirements. Support updates to the SSS. Support development of Configuration Item Product Functional Specifications (CIPFSs) and corresponding Correction Matrixes (VCMs). Provide support in evaluating system problem/trouble reports for performance of systems against requirements. Investigate requirements for operational employment, manning, and tactics of systems. Provide support in the planning of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), including In Progress Reviews (IPRs), System Functional Readiness Reviews (SFRs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), and Top-Level Drawing development. Participate in the development of Technical Review Action Plans (TRAPs). Support the development and review of procedures, Technical Data Packages (TDPs). Assist in preparing system development and operational recommendations to support future Fleet operations.

Requirements: Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline. 10 or more years of recent, relevant engineering experience. Knowledge and experience in U.S. Navy shipboard operations, MCM system design and employment, and MCM tactics. Eligible to obtain and maintain a Security clearance.

Desired Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in LCS MCM MP systems, manning, and operations. Possess an understanding of configuration management processes. Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities derived from multiple high-priority, emergent requirements. Highly proficient with the Microsoft suite of tools including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Travel: Travel is not expected to exceed 10% each year.

Tools and Technology: Most work will be conducted on a computer provided by Innovative Professional Solutions (IPS). Various web-based tools will be used. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Working Conditions/Environment: Work will primarily be conducted in at an IPS office but may include providing support at NSWC PCD or other locations.
