Surfside Laundry Maintenance Technician in Panama City Beach, Florida

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (3 Positions Available)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Day/Hours: Mon-Fri / 7-4:30, varies during peak season. Some weekend days during peak season.

Location of Work: Panama City Beach

Summary

:

Under general supervision of the Maintenance Manager or Regional Maintenance Manager, perform general maintenance tasks on equipment in the plant to ensure safe and proper operations daily.

Essential Job

Duties

:

  • Responsible for opening the plant at least 1 hour prior to production start-up or earlier, if necessary.
  • Responsible for cleaning assigned equipment, performing daily start up duties, perform preventive maintenance under the direction of lead maintenance technicians and make repairs as needed with the focus on production's daily needs.
  • Required to run wax cloth and necessary lubricants to flat work ironers. Replace ironer tape as often as necessary.
  • Examine, monitor and/or replace belting for flat work ironers and folders as needed.
  • Examine, monitor, and apply lubricants to machinery as needed.
  • Responsible for cleaning waste/water pit, crawl underneath machinery and removed lint bags from equipment.
  • Required to remove, pull and/fix machinery jams, as necessary. Essential to trouble- shoot, monitor, track and replace machinery parts that consistently break, are defective or inoperative.
  • Ensure the maintenance area is orderly and neat. Plant must be appropriately clean inside and outside at all times.
  • Responsible for assistance in other departments as needed.
  • Responsible for shutting down all equipment.
  • Participate in safety meetings with entire staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
