You will be a key member of the System Architecture team. The System Architecture team owns the vehicle electrical and software architecture for current and future architectures.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power Modeling and Management Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and optimizing power models for various electrical systems, as well as managing and improving power distribution and utilization strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, networking, etc.) to ensure efficient power management and integration of power models into our products.

What you'll do...

  • Develop detailed power models for electrical systems and components.

  • Perform power analysis and optimization to improve system efficiency.

  • Manage power distribution and utilization strategies across different projects.

  • Collaborate with design and development teams to integrate power models and management strategies into the overall electrical architecture.

  • Gain an understanding of the features that request power, the resources they require and the modes they need to operate in to define the power strategies.

  • Conduct simulations and validation tests to ensure accuracy and reliability of power models.

  • Conduct simulations to understand the tradeoffs between power and other key KPIs such as latency and utilize this to support architectural decision making.

  • Identify potential power-related issues and provide solutions to mitigate risks.

  • Develop and implement power management policies and strategies.

  • Monitor and analyze power consumption and performance data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Document and present findings, recommendations, and technical reports to stakeholders.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in power modeling and management techniques and tools.

  • Support the development of power management strategies and policies.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Software Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.

  • 10+ years of experience with systems.

  • 5+ years in power modeling, analysis, and management for electrical systems

  • 5+ years expereince in power modeling software tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, PLECS, or equivalent.

  • 5+ years expereince in electrical architecture, power distribution, and power management.

  • 5+ years experience with simulation and validation of power models.

  • 5+ years experience with scripting and data analysis.

Even better, you may have...

  • Masters or PHD degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Software Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree,.

  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical and software systems

  • Experience in automotive or aerospace.

  • Knowledge of power electronics and control systems.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power systems.

  • Strong leadership skills and excellent team player

  • Ability to act as an open-minded change agent

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
