Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has multiple openings for Principal / Senior Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Positions to be located at our Palmdale, CA facility.

The selected candidate(s) should thrive in a fast-paced work environment and will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. They will be able successfully complete diverse work assignments and effectively collaborate in team settings across all levels. They must be able to collaborate closely with our LMA customer as well as our NGAS executives and program leadership. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who are able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidate(s) will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business.

Primary responsibilities require support of F35 Program Management integration activities, including but not limited to:

  • Change Request integration between Center Fuselage IPTs and Program Engineering

  • Export Management integration: review TAAs, coordinate with Responsible Engineer & Export Management

  • Risk & Opportunity Integration: coordinate capture and tracking of identified risks & opportunities

  • Operations integration & EAC/Pressures identify/capture & track

  • Program Management Meeting: presentation integration and action item tracking

  • Joint Subcontract Management Team (JSMT) integration

  • Government Furnished Equipment integration

  • Partnering with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) function to effectively drive positive performance

  • Managing and presenting performance metrics and other presentation materials

  • End-to-end management, lead cross-functional teams, contract acquisition, program execution, quality and delivery

  • Interface with customer & F-35 Leadership, instill confidence, promote partnership, recognition, and opportunities

  • Cross-Function integration necessary to support and resolve internal/external inquiries

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Tableau

  • SAP experience

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience OR a master's degree with 4 years' experience in either Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and/or Cost/Schedule management

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Project Management:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience OR a master's degree with 8 years' experience in either Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and/or Cost/Schedule management

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

  • 5 years project management in aerospace and defense in aircraft assembly or operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Program Management / Integration experience within the Aerospace industry

Salary Range: $86,300 - $129,500

Salary Range 2: $107,000 - $160,600

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
