Seeking a full-time Airframe Structures Dynamics Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Palmdale, California. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include:

  • Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.

  • Contributing to developing, testing, and validating aircraft structural dynamics analyses.

  • Assisting in creating system requirements, trade studies, statements of work, and test plans.

  • Coordination with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), with some interaction with external IPTs and suppliers.

    Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical; 9 years experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 years with a Master's Degree

  • Experience making/updating Finite Element Models (FEM) in Patran, Hypermesh, FEMAP, or similar

  • Experience with running and interpreting Modal Analysis (SOL103), Random Vibration (SOL111), Transient Analysis (SOL112), Non-linear analysis (SOL106/400)

  • Experience with developing vibration environments for aircraft (Mission Based Analysis) and maintaining Environment Criteria Documents (ECD)

  • Experience with vibroacoustic and data processing

  • Subsystem qualification experience (vendor testing, interpreting previous qualification data and making assessment to current predicted environments, delta qual, etc.)

  • Proficient in scripting language (MatLab, Python, VBA, C++, etc.)

  • Experience with documenting technical results and analysis and presenting to customers in an effective way

    Desired skills :

  • Proficient in MSC/Hexagon ADAMs for mechanism and landing gear

  • Familiar with RCC-319

  • Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing

    Required skills:
