Job Description

Renesas Electronics America Inc. is looking to fill the role of Engineering Technician supporting our engineering group in our Testing facility in Palm Bay, Florida.

This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog and digital Rad Hard semiconductors.

Qualifications

  • Preferred AS or AA in electronics, electrical, mechanical engineering or military training in electronics, avionics, or equivalent work experience

  • 1-4 years of experience.

  • Shift: 1st shift - 8 am - 5 pm. Overtime available.

  • Strong foundation of electronic and mechanical skills.

  • Understanding and interpreting technical drawings both electrical and mechanical.

  • Ability to use scopes, multimeters, and power generators in the testing and verification of electronic and mechanical electrical hardware.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of how to approach installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of electromechanical equipment.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in diagnosing, testing, and repairing equipment by utilizing electrical repair procedures and related test equipment.

  • Knowledge of servo and stepping motors and motor drives.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of pneumatics, various sensor types, and robotic systems

  • Previous experience servicing and maintaining electronic & electrical equipment.

  • Ideally have knowledge in technology, AC/DC circuits, and electro-mechanical devices

  • Maintenance-related experience in electro-mechanical/instrumentation functions.

  • Experience/knowledge in Hazardous Area Electronic/Electrical Equipment.

  • Familiar with basic operating systems like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Able to adapt to the unexpected.

  • Excellent Oral and Written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • This is an ITAR role - the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
