Job Description:

Do you have what it takes to lead an L3Harris team of talented engineers in the development, manufacture, and sell-off of space systems and satellites? Does leading a fixed price production program that is literally changing the game in space, excite you? If so, L3Harris Space Systems is seeking a Program Manager for the ISR Space business to manage all facets of the build out of multiple satellites utilizing cutting edge technologies to meet the needs of multiple customers in a responsive environment. Overall responsibilities include working with the customer and leading the internal and subcontractor teams in the manufacture, testing, launch, and sell-off of multiple new satellite systems with an emphasis on technology development and mission solutions including:

Essential Functions:

• Manage the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of a program through all phases from inception to completion• Develop and manage programmatic and financial forecasts• Prepare proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budget, and financial terms/conditions of contract• Gain and maintain high trust and confidence with government customers, L3Harris leadership, and program teams regarding matters of substantial importance to the government and L3Harris• Extensively analyze problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem including broad-based consideration of relevant variables• Develop specific courses of action in program execution that yield predictable results and profitable return on investment• Fully understand customer mission gaps, constraints, and objectives• Effectively communicate the L3Harris value proposition from a technical and programmatic perspective• Ensure all resources such as engineering, production, and facilities are available to support the program• Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas• Engage with Business Development in driving long-term business strategy• Demonstrate high ethical standards and regard for the L3Harris Code of Conduct• The Program Manager is accountable to the Division and L3Harris Corporation for the financial performance of the business area, achievement of our strategic and business goals, and performance of our solutions for current and prospective customers

Qualifications:

• Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 15 years of prior program management or project/system engineering experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior program management or project/system engineering experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior program management or project/system engineering experience• Prior experience interfacing with sub-contractors, suppliers, and/or vendors• Prior experience with cross-functional teams

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of space and satellite technology• A strong technical and business background in relation to end to end space missions including spacecraft bus, payload, and ground operations• Understanding of satellite operations and ground systems that can be applied to the development of future satellites and space systems• Experience planning, organizing, and directing work across multiple disciplines that provides best value solutions to the customer and L3Harris• Knowledge Earned Value Management (EVMS) and standard program reporting metrics• Understanding of the Department of Defense, Air Force, Space Force, and Intelligence Community• Strategic thinker with capacity to manage business complexity and to identify and focus on top priorities• Experience implementing strategies to influence external stakeholders for business advantage• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills• Ability to develop, mentor, grow, and deploy program staff and prioritize talent development as a competitive advantage• Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, even when having no direct authority over them• Can interpret, condense, and present findings to audiences with variable skill sets and experience levels• Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion is preferred• Able to provide/reinforce the credibility and commitment of L3Harris at appropriate levels in customer community is a plus• Pursuit and proposal development experience
