Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

Scope of Position:

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of activities in production area(s) to meet safety, quality, production, and cost objectives

  • Ensure the safety of employees

  • Interact cooperatively with engineering, quality, planning, & etc. to meet goal

  • Manage employee timecards and payroll

  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply

  • Maintain manufacturing metrics tracking and reporting

  • Direct subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies

  • Development and presentation of factual information

  • Provide immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, and checking work at frequent intervals

  • Supervise skilled and semi-skilled employees

  • Regularly walk the production floor (90% of shift)

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (technical discipline)

  • 2+ years of manufacturing and/or leadership experience

Required Skills:

  • Excellent people, organization, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to grasp technical details and understand impacts of the process and requirements for successful performance/quality organization

  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office knowledge with sound decision-making skills

  • Able to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Desired Skills:

The range for this position is $61,849.00 - $85,043.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
