Siemens-Energy is looking for the sharpest Engineers to join theirCompression Division team located in Painted Post, New York. We have severalopenings and are targeting Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and AerospaceEngineering graduates who want to define the Energy systems and infrastructureto power the world for the next generation.

As an Engineer joining into one of these roles, plan to undergo3-5 years of extensive industry and product line training. Short durationdomestic travel will be expected for proper introduction to the installation,commissioning, and/or maintenance of our Product portfolio. As experience growsadditional rotation within various Engineering disciplines will also beencouraged.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Analytical, Development, and Simulation Engineering – in this area of Engineering you will find yourselfdeveloping and analyzing products and systems within the Compression portfoliothat Siemens-Energy has to offer. An understanding of 3-D modeling softwarewith ANSYS exposure, or previous FEA experience is useful. The right candidatefor this field possesses strong capability for theoretical understanding ofcomplex processes and/or mechanical & electrical systems. Predictivefailure analysis and general understanding of mechanical and material strengthsand / or force load distribution is needed.

Package, Electromechanical, and Systems Engineering – in this area of Engineering you will find yourselfdeveloping medium to large scale equipment packages within our Reciprocatingproduct line. One must have a deep appreciation for extremely complexmechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems if entering this field. Equipmentpackages as large as small office buildings are developed – this team followsthese packages through the complete process of Design, Procurement,Manufacturing / Fabrication, and commissioning. As your experience within thisgroup grows, travel to supplier and client sites may be required.

Mechanical, Product, and Repair Engineering - in this area of Engineering you will find yourself workingwith and developing the world’s largest Reciprocating compressor fleet. Ifentering this field a general understanding of 3D modeling practices isbeneficial. Day to day activity involves the creation of component / assemblydesigns with accompanying bill of materials used within the product portfolio.This field has endless opportunities to stretch the imagination of even themost talented Mechanical Engineer. If the idea of working with Engine Casings(Frames) the size of a city bus, or 25ft Crankshafts excite you, this is whereyou belong.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) in engineering required.Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Aerospace preferred.

  • Must possess a high level of problem-solvingskills; strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational andprioritizing skills; ability to work in a team environment

  • Knowledge of 3D modeling, complex mechanical,electrical, pneumatic systems, and / or understanding theoretical systemsis preferred.

  • Willingness to travel domestically for shortperiods.

  • Digital literacy and familiarity with MicrosoftSuite

  • Applicants must be legally authorized foremployment in the United States without need for current or futureemployer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees withcurrent visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers

  • The base salary range for this position if based in New York is $60k-$72k. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
