Siemens Energy Material Logistics Handler - 2nd Shift in Painted Post, New York

A Snapshot of your Day

The Shipping, Receiving, Stock Room and Painting team handles the movement of materials and products in and out of the facility. As a Material Logistics Handler, you will work with both internal and external customers in an exciting fast -paced environment to ensure on-time delivery of our products. This is critical in the overall success of the company!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Receive, store, stock, identify,and issue material by name, part, and or drawing number.

  • Verify count, condition, andcorrectness of all material received.

  • Collect and transport material asneeded, operating Jitney, tow motor, crane, and carousel. Move and storematerial in yards and shops, such as castings, forgings, tanks, etc.

  • Receive, identify, mark, store,and issue a wide variety of bar, tubing, pipe and related material andorders.

  • Operate UPS, Fedex, and DHLmachines to create shipping labels for parts shipment.

  • Operate saws and other equipmentlayout and make skids, crates, or boxes for shipment.

  • Cleaning, priming, painting, orprocessing of Compressors, engines, accessories and parts for shipment.

  • Assist areas with locating neededmaterial, pulling together kits, packaging and labeling.

What You Bring

  • A High School Diploma or GED thatcan be verified is required.

  • A minimum of 1 year of materiallogistics experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalentcombination of education and experience is preferred.

  • Must be willing to work 2nd shiftand be flexible enough to work 1st or 3rd shift on occasion, as businessrequires.

  • Must be proficient with computers(ie. Microsoft Office Suite and SAP experience a plus).

  • Must have strong organization andcommunication skills, along with the ability to multitask.

  • Displays an attitude conducive toprogress through positive change, continuous improvement, and be activecontributor.

  • Applicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employeeswith current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
