MAJER Employment Services, LLC Hand Soldering Technician in Painesville, Ohio
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform hand soldering of electronic components including through-hole, surface mount and wire harness terminations consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
- Inspect and test soldered components to ensure quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot and rework any soldering defects
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work space
- Perform repetitive assembly, terminating, molding, testing and packaging operations to produce connectors and cable assemblies that meet specification of schematics, blueprints, or process instructions
- Attend and participate in all required training and departmental meetings
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in hand soldering
- Prior certification to IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, PIC 7711/7721 preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with soldering equipment and tools
- Attention to detail and ability to work with small components
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to use basic judgement in quality analysis and communicate and discrepancies to leadership
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and safety regulations including attendance requirements
- Ability to work with limited supervision to assemble units of moderate complexity in a team environments
- Ability to pass a soldering test
