MAJER Employment Services, LLC Hand Soldering Technician in Painesville, Ohio

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform hand soldering of electronic components including through-hole, surface mount and wire harness terminations consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
  • Inspect and test soldered components to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and rework any soldering defects
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Perform repetitive assembly, terminating, molding, testing and packaging operations to produce connectors and cable assemblies that meet specification of schematics, blueprints, or process instructions
  • Attend and participate in all required training  and departmental meetings

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hand soldering
  • Prior certification to IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, PIC 7711/7721 preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with soldering equipment and tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with small components
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to use basic judgement in quality analysis and communicate and discrepancies to leadership
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies and safety regulations including attendance requirements
  • Ability to work with limited supervision to assemble units of moderate complexity in a team environments
  • Ability to pass a soldering test
