Position Description:

Job Purpose and Scope:

Assists Deposit Operations Balancing management by responding to retail branch requests for assistance related to cash processing, Stop Pays, Non-Posts, and BounceProof. Performs initial problem analysis when system problems occur.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs responsibilities in a professional and accurate manner and according to Bank policies, procedures, and established compliance regulations.

  • Assists branch employees with transactional processing issues.

  • Balances checking accounts and general ledger accounts.

  • Balances Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) and works with retail branch staff to resolve outages.

  • Processes non-posted items for deposit applications and the general ledger.

  • Balances secondary correspondence accounts.

  • Verifies Stop Payments and Delayed Availability forms.

  • Performs general functions of the BounceProof program.

  • Processes research requests.

  • Monitors internally used general ledger accounts for transaction accuracy.

  • Monitors asset verifications and government requests, such as Medicaid and Social Security Administration.

  • Utilizes Excel spreadsheets in completing daily job tasks.

  • Completes all required training by assigned deadlines.

  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality to work.

  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Knowledge of basic cash transaction and balancing concepts.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
