Position Description

Job Summary

The Warehouse Loader operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift while performing the required order filler and checker duties. Adherence to all company safety policies and precautions while performing loading activities and tasks and at all times when on the premises.

Required Qualifications

  • Pull and prepare product for shipment from correct location, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped

  • Finished product is placed on the correct manner for transportation, either a truck or rail car.

  • Transfer of recently produced finished product to the correct inventory location and document the inventory.

  • Assist with unloading inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.

  • Efficiently stack and store products in the appropriate areas.

  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

  • Report any visual and all Quality related issues to Supervisor.

  • Serve as load confirming to ensure no miss-ships.

  • Performing picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service.

  • Perform forklift daily inspections and record status of each inspection for each shift. Report any issues or damage of the forklift.

  • Perform housekeeping duties as assigned in the warehouse area including but not limited to maintaining zag row, rework of damage pallets, restocking sample area, organizing accessory area, sweeping and painting of warehouse storage areas.

  • Conduct inventories of samples, finished product and other warehouse materials – will also participate in actual physical counts of entire finished product warehouse and yard or cycle counts as assigned.

  • Use of warehouse computer systems for various position functions – product look-up, paperwork etc.

  • Report all EH&S incidents – Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental

  • and Property/Equipment Damage.

  • Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.

  • Participate in the development, understanding and review of all position JSA’s

Additional Description

Knowledge & Competencies (Skills & Abilities):

High School Diploma or GED. Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience. Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly so others understand, vision acuity for this position include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk and hear.
