Granville Health System Respiratory Therapist in Oxford, North Carolina

Position Summary Provides routine and advanced respiratory care services to patients of all ages to include blood gas acquisition and analysis, invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, aerosol medication administration, oxygen therapy, code blue and rapid response participation, neonatal resuscitation support at high risk infant deliveries, electrocardiogram acquisition and management, respiratory-focused patient teaching and supervisory duties in the absence of Respiratory Therapy Manager. Processes information on the System#s Health Information System as required in performing job responsibilities. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy educational program by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). #Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. Post graduate clinical experience in all aspects of respiratory care including a critical care background required. Proficient demonstration of ventilator care and management required. Clinical evaluation and assessment skills are required for all age groups of patients served by the facility including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Strong communication skills required.# Required Licensures/Certifications Active status with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) as a RRT/CRT required. #Basic Life Support (BLS), #Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) status, #Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required to be current within 90 days of hire date. #Maintains all required certifications and proficiencies.
