Position Summary: Assists the physician#before, during, and after#examinations and procedures.# Assists patients with pre- and post-exam needs. Monitors inventory#and medical office supplies. Monitors government compliance with OSHA, DEA, CLIA.#Responsible for reviewing and updating#patient charts. Determines disposition of physician telephone messages daily, in conjunction with the front office. Maintains sterile instruments and equipment as needed.#Directs patient flow in clinical areas.##Promotes and practices the policies and procedures of the practice. # Qualifications: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Medical Assistance with experience#or equivalent clinical experience in a physician#s office setting. Typing and computer skills; ability to operate all#office equipment; ability to stay calm in emergencies; good communication, written and organizational skills; ability to deal with multiple tasks at a time and prioritize accordingly; able to adapt and incorporate any new tasks presented; ability to exercise sound judgment; contribute new ideas and solutions to problems; ability to deal with the public professionally and maintain good relationships with the practice personnel and staff physicians; ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
