Summary:#Under the general direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Informaticist/Report Writer will leverage standard tools to extract, analyze, and report data from our central data repository. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, informatics, and report writing, with the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.# Responsibilities:# # Utilize standard data extraction and report writing tools to access and analyze data from our Meditech Magic, Allscripts and corporate central data repositories. # Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards that provide insights to various stakeholders. # Collaborate with department heads and management to understand data needs and deliver accurate and timely reports. # Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and data extracts. # Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data quality and efficiency. # Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing reports. # Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. # Work closely with the IT team to prioritize business and information needs. # Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. Required:# # Bachelor#s degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. # Proven working experience as a data analyst, report writer, or informaticist. # Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), and programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks). # Report writing in direct SQL coding experience in Allscripts and Meditech Magic databases # Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.). # Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings. # Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. ##Excellent verbal and written communication skills. # Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Preferred:#IT experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
