Granville Health System Endoscopy Center Nurse Manager in Oxford, North Carolina

Position Summary The Endoscopy Center Nurse Manager coordinates all daily activities of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The ASC is located in Oxford, North Carolina and consists of two procedure rooms primarily for colonoscopies. The Nurse Manager is knowledgeable in state, federal and preferably Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC) compliance regulations and oversees successful achievement of same.# The Nurse Manager attends to the immediate needs of members of the medical staff, ensuring availability of equipment, instrumentation and supplies necessary for delivery of safe surgical care.# The Nurse Manager follows the facility#s standards for ethical business conduct and is a positive role model and team member interacting with others in a respectful and considerate manner. Essential Duties # Responsibilities Knowledgeable in state, federal and preferably AAAHC compliance regulations and oversees successful achievement of same. Verifies life safety and security of building premises ensuring safe working conditions for the work force, patients # guests. Evaluates Quality Outcomes Monitoring; identifies trending and opportunities for improvement. Ensures adequate staffing for all areas and monitors productivity. Supports Center#s leadership team in proper allocation of personnel adhering cost/case. Oversees the intake, operating and recovery rooms to ensure appropriateness of staff assignments and patient flow Promotes concurrent completion of tasks required to comply with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards as well as center policies and procedures and standards. Monitors the environment of care, including temperature, cleanliness, sterility, operational ability, ventilation, lighting, etc. Possesses exceptional communication skills and situational awareness. Conducts self as a positive role model and team member. Recognizes patients# rights and responsibilities and supports them in performance of job duties. Is familiar with managed care contracts, expected reimbursements and billing and collection practices. Supports business office team in establishing scheduling practices which maximize OR access, compress case management, and/or improve efficiencies. Negotiates and obtains agreements from vendors providing supportive services Possesses ability to conduct research, recite standards of evidence-based care and have experiential knowledge in healthcare industry and anticipated delivery of services. Qualifications Registered Nurse, holding active licensure in state of residence, preferred. Baccalaureate degree in nursing, business and/or healthcare. Masters# degree in healthcare administration or nursing administration desired. Certification in Ambulatory Surgery Center (CASC) desired within 18 months of hire. 1 year minimum of previous management experience in outpatient (ambulatory) surgical industry required. Schedule Full time Monday # Friday, 7:30am # 5pm
