Olin Winchester LLC Production Machine Adjuster Trainee-12784 in Oxford, Mississippi

This is a job for a Production Machine Adjuster Trainee position with a company located in Oxford, MS.

Salary: $19.27 per hour with an increase to $21.63 per hour after completion of 90 days and successful evaluations.

Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3:30pm to 11:30pm or 3rd shift: Monday (Sunday night) - (Thursday night) Friday 11:30 pm to 7:30am.

Job Summary: Focus:The Production Machine Adjuster Trainee is responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and operation of production machinery. The position requires the ability to identify various mechanical issues and any malfunctions on industrial machines with precision and accuracy.

Essential Job Functions: Operate multiple machines simultaneously; Troubleshoot and repair production equipment; clean out and clear machine jams on hoppers. Transport raw material from storage area to production areas via means of forklift or other production type transportation devices. Use hand tools to make mechanical adjustments and repairs on production machinery. Complete machine change-over and set-ups utilizing quality specifications for various products including changing dies and related parts as needed. Use calipers, micrometers, and other quality measuring devices to measure and record production part outer diameter (OD) length including visual inspection of material utilizing computerized equipment. Champion Lean Manufacturing concepts to ensure that quality meets the customers standards and satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to properly identify a variety of mechanical problems; one (1) year of related mechanical experience preferred. Demonstrated job stability. Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. Experience with the use of hand tools and quality measuring devices required. Ability and willingness to work weekends, including overtime. Must be able to pass a functional physical testing and be able to use standard safety equipment and wear all required personal protective equipment (in extreme hot/cold environments). Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Location-Specific Requirements: Assignments in the Rimfire facility requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required. Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check if job offer is received and accepted. Must be able to attend orientation and training on 1st shift (Monday - Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm) before transitioning to either 2nd shift (3:30pm to 11:30pm) or 3rd shift (11:30pm to 7:30am) primary assignment. Training could take up to six (6) weeks to complete.
