This Position is for an Assistant Professor in Molecular Evolution with a public university work location in University, MS.

Position Description

The Department of Biology at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Molecular Evolution.  Seek candidates using genomic and/or computational approaches to study consequential questions in evolutionary biology. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an active, externally funded research laboratory, and teach courses related to their area of expertise.  This position will complement and extend existing departmental strengths in ecology and evolution, symbiosis and species interactions, biodiversity and conservation biology, cell and molecular biology, and neuroscience and behavior (http://biology.olemiss.edu).

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have an Ph.D. degree in Biology or a related field and post-doctoral experience.
