Primary Responsibilities:

Working with various in-house departments, the Production Planner is required to effectively coordinate the production planning and scheduling activities in order to meet customer demand, and achieve target shipping and service levels.

  • Enhance the supply planning experience and scheduling process of our fabricated parts and assemblies
  • Institute a scheduling process and create tools to help standardize planning of the departments
  • Develop, establish, maintain, and communicate a production schedule for the fabricated parts & assemblies, as well as wax injection operations
  • Be an advocate for and track schedule adherence of the various departments
  • Manage production scheduling of multi-level routing and traceability requirements
  • Coordinate process scheduling of outside service vendors with subcontractors and shipping / receiving manager(s)
  • Develop production targets, as well as WIP requirements from forecast and historical demand
  • Knowledge of Plex including MRP, BOMs, routing and ECN process
  • Maintain inventory target on a monthly basis
  • Reviewing demand inputs, such as orders, forecast, inventory levels, in the ERP and outside of the system in order to make decisions regarding supply planning
  • Report on production planning and scheduling KPIs
  • Collaborate with Sales & Operation teams to help develop and understand capacity requirements and resource constraints
  • Work with plant manager and purchasing to arrange manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse and Shipping to meet production and customer requirements, including executing schedule changes in coordination with Operations and Customer Service and working with Customer service to improve on-time deliveries
  • You will be required to work within the manufacturing plant, warehouse and shipping areas which will require usage of required PPE including steel toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
  • 5 years of supply chain or other relevant experience preferred
  • Investment Casting experience a plus
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, Access, Word and Outlook
  • Able to multi-task and display a high level of company/team spirit in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
