The Site Distribution Services (SDS) departments consist of:
* Stock Rooms/ Material Movement

These departments are filled with proud workers who support the War Fighter. The job is demanding, and the selected candidate will be required to perform with high levels of accuracy and with model behaviors towards fellow workers and customers in a highly blended atmosphere of people and personalities.

Performance expectations in the stockrooms consist of:
Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued. Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones. Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
* Safety, safety and more safety. Safety for you and your coworkers and the product.
* The Owego site works a 4/10 Flex schedule. This position is for a SECOND shift schedule. Working some Saturday's would be rare but possible.
* Long periods of standing, walking and/or sitting.
* Able to kneel, squat, bend down, stretch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and carry materials repeatedly through the day.
* Lifting items weighing up to 39 pounds and asking for help for items 40 pounds and above.
* Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Constant use of computers and iPads or other electronic handheld devices.
* Highly accurate workmanship with great attention to details and double-checking to ensure accuracy.
* Capable of fine motor/manual dexterity, strong grip and repetitive movements and tasks.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Good interpersonal skills with co-workers and customers.
* Constantly reviews written processes and communicates suggestions to improve efficiency.
* Through good housekeeping habits, candidate reviews practices and communicates suggestions to avoid and eliminate accidents and safety violations.
* Constantly aware of surroundings and reports any suspicious security activity.
* Responsible for safeguarding Company and Government owned property while being handled and / or stored.


Basic Qualifications :
Experience with:
- Receiving and Stocking Procedures
- Packing and Shipping Procedures
- Pulling Material from Stock Procedures
- Safe Product Handling

PLEASE NOTE:
- Applicants selected must successfully pass a background investigation and drug test.
- Additionally, any roles requiring Department of Defense Security Clearances will require US Citizenship.


Desired skills :
Training in:
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
- Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Documented training or education in the use of SAP which is our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system of record.
- Documented training or education in Supply Chain Management.
- Any Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications.
