Tioga Opportunities Inc Home Delivered Meals Driver in Owego, New York

Responsible for transporting home delivered meals for the Department's nutrition services program to clients in Tioga County: <LI> Loads and transports food from the central kitchen to home delivered meals (HDM) clients <LI> Collects HDM contributions and places in lock box in the vehicle <LI> Removes equipment/debris daily - maintains and cleans vehicles weekly <LI> Maintains vehicle operation through daily maintenance checks and refueling <LI> Maintains daily mileage log <LI> Maintains HDM meal temperature log <LI> Reports TOI vehicles maintenance issues to supervisor <LI> Cleans HDM containers after usage <LI> Assists with end of day clean up in the nutrition program <LI> Recognizes conditions or circumstances that affect participants health and/or safety and makes referrals to department staff where appropriate

<P>Required skills and abilities: <LI> Must be at least 21 years of age, have and maintain a valid driver's license, and be an acceptable driver by TOI standards <LI> Ability to follow oral and written instructions <LI> Ability to work well with others and be dependable

<P>Physical Demands: <BR>Constantly: Activity/condition exists for 2/3 or more of the time <LI> Utilizes vision to drive, read directions, street signs, etc. <LI> Drives Agency vehicles in a safe manner <LI> Lifts HDM containers before and after use, and deliveries of 40 pounds <LI> Assists in the lifting of deliveries more than 40 pounds <LI> Walks and carries HDM containers to and from central kitchen as well as to and from van to client homes <LI> Reaches for, bends, and lifts containers of meals <BR>Frequently: Activity/condition exists for 1/3 to 2/3 of the time <LI> Cleans HDM containers after usage <BR>Occasionally: Activity/condition exists up to 1/3 of the time <LI> Sits at desk to complete paperwork <LI> Inspects vehicle to check fluids, lights, tires, etc. <P> A check of personal references and drug screening may be required
