Pearson Maintenance Mechanic in Owatonna, Minnesota

Pearson is recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure an efficient manufacturing operation through the cost-effective repair of equipment and timely preventative maintenance of all equipment. This role will utilize the work repair order system and maintain a spare parts inventory. Function as a resource throughout the facility to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation. Working hours Shift hours are 06:00 PM to 06:00 AM. Regular shift consists of 84 hours over a 2 week period. Actual days worked is coordinated with peer Mechanic working an identical shift arrangement. Key Responsibilities include: 1. Duties and tasks involve trouble shooting equipment, routine part replacements, fabrication, general facility maintenance, and special projects. 2. Equipment trouble shooting and repair require basic electrical skills. 3. Daily assignments are generally self-managed through the Work Requisition system. Specific priorities may be established by facility managers. 4. Must be able to work with equipment operators to trouble shoot issues. Refer complex technical and operational issues to peers and manager. 5. Supervise part time Maintenance team member in assignments and skill development 6. Able to work or commute in our Owatonna, MN office.
