Apogee Services Inc. Position Summary The IT Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable IT initiatives. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of both business and technology. Responsibilities Interface with Stakeholders: Serve as the IT liaison to business areas, collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements. Aid in the development of comprehensive business requirements, encompassing project scope, benefits, budget, and timelines. Determine optimal IT approaches to meet business needs efficiently and cost-effectively. Project Management: Collaborate with Project Management and key stakeholders to establish project objectives and priorities. Assist in drafting IT statements of work (SOW) and implementation timelines. Provide comprehensive plans and status reports on project progress, monitoring critical milestones. Document, track, and resolve project issues in a timely manner, ensuring smooth project execution. Communication and Change Management: Identify and implement business process changes to realize benefits effectively. Facilitate communication among team members and senior management. Monitor and communicate project risks, issues, status, and results to stakeholders. Align IT initiatives with overall Business and IT Strategic Plans, facilitating change management throughout projects. Production Support and Measurement: Provide support for Viracon systems and process areas. Offer support across all project life cycle phases, from analysis to deployment. Assist in end-user training and documentation creation. Address business requirements, including continuous improvement and production support, to ensure alignment with business needs. Additional Responsibilities (Level II): Provide project leadership on small to medium-sized projects. Lead idea generation and advise on system limitations and budget effects. Offer structure, controls, and assessment on projects. Drive business process change and manage cultural resistance effectively. Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related experience. Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment, with a strong understanding of business processes and technology solutions. Solid knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable deliverables. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies is preferred. Certification(s) in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) and/or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
