HNTB Sr GIS Analyst in Overland Park, Kansas

This opportunity entails providing direction to the design office in the most effective use of GIS technology to improve the planning and design process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Works with design office to identify and implement value added services to the clients.

  • Identifies when to integrate GIS technology into an existing or future project.

  • Develops digital display tools to allow the end user to easily display and analyze the data in the GIS database.

  • Develops GIS applications using ESRI software, .NET, JavaScript, HTML or Windows client-based development tools.

  • Provides input into the business development process, such as defining proposed milestones, estimating work, documenting understanding of need and process to fulfill need.

  • Defines standard formats for various GIS product deliverables specific to the industry.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Planning or other related field of study

  • 5 years related experience using ESRI or Bentley software products

What We Prefer:

  • 7 years related experience in Esri’s ArcGIS suite of software and products including ArcGIS Pro and AGOL.

  • Experience using various data sources

  • Experienced in GIS Mapping for transportation projects

  • Experience representing information visually

  • Experience with ArcGIS REST API’s for ArcGIS Online and Server / Portal.

  • Understanding and exposure to various databases such as Oracle or SQL Server; developing and configuring web services for data exchange

  • Experience using FME software for data integration and transformation, and analysis

  • Experience sharing/converting files between CAD (Microstation) and GIS

  • Experience preparing GIS information for inclusion in databases

  • Experience in developing and advising junior GIS staff
