SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Learning and Development is a pivotal role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive leadership development programs. This position entails crafting strategies for succession planning, new leader development, executive leadership development, mid-level leader training, and ongoing leadership development. The primary objective is to foster a culture of continuous growth and talent advancement, ensuring the organization has a robust leadership pipeline to meet both current and future needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

  • Design and execute onboarding programs specifically tailored to the needs of newly appointed leaders, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.

  • Develop resources, training materials, and tools to support new leaders in understanding organizational culture, values, and expectations.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to new leaders to accelerate their integration and effectiveness within their teams and the broader

  • Develop and maintain a strategic succession planning framework to identify and cultivate internal talent for key leadership roles.

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership and HR to assess future leadership needs and create tailored succession plans for different departments or business units.

  • Implement processes for identifying high-potential individuals, assessing their readiness for advancement, and providing targeted development opportunities to prepare them for leadership roles.

  • Develop tailored training programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of mid-level leaders.

  • Identify key competencies and areas for development among mid-level leaders and design targeted interventions to address these needs.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to mid-level leaders to support their growth and prepare them for increased responsibilities and leadership roles.

  • Create a comprehensive roadmap for ongoing leadership development, including workshops, seminars, coaching, and other learning opportunities.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external resources to provide continuous learning experiences that align with the organization's goals and priorities.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing leadership development initiatives and adjust as needed to ensure maximum impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Seven or more years of proven experience in leadership development, succession planning, and talent management, preferably in a corporate setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Organizational Development

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, leadership theories, and best practices in talent development.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable development plans.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Results-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement and impact measurement.

  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive them to completion.
