Sunlighten NetSuite Developer and Solutions Architect in Overland Park, Kansas

Sunlighten is actively seeking an accomplished NetSuite Developer & Solutions Architect, whose primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day administration, technical support, development, architectural strategy (encompassing design, implementation, maintenance), and the strategic roadmap for NetSuite. This includes the management of 3rd party integrations and the development of custom integrations with 3rd party systems, ensuring robust security measures, roles, and governance, and overall process enhancements. In this role, you will closely collaborate with our Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Developer & Solutions Architect – Salesforce, Director of Logistics, Director of eCommerce, and other key stakeholders. Your contribution will be instrumental in delivering our strategic objectives, optimizing processes, and enhancing the overall experience for both internal and external customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all configuration, customization, and testing of NetSuite ERP system and with any 3rd party integration.

  • Includes NetSuite, Salesforce (Integration), e-commerce (Shopify), 3PL Integrations and others.

  • Responsible for ownership of NetSuite workflows, automation, and optimization, directly supporting Accounting & Finance, Warehouse Management, Logistics, Manufacturing, and all 3rd party integrations such as Shopify or Suite Commerce/eCommerce, support other departments like marketing.

  • Design, improve and implement all business processes related directly to manufacturing, warehousing/logistical operations, and accounting. This also includes technically supporting other departments using NetSuite or any 3rd party integration of NetSuite.

  • Will use NS functionality such as SuiteFlows, SuiteScripts, SuiteTalk, and other NS Modules needed to achieve Sunlighten goals. Will also need to stay up to date on technical knowledge, to have a good understanding of latest technology and versions.

  • Will review all technical requirements for requests, new projects, provide best options through Suite Bundles, explore custom integrations, Middleware (such as Zapier) or creating custom webhooks, API integrations, to achieve goals.

  • Technically support, and be responsible for any new projects, which includes workflow optimization and/or 3rd party integrations, including custom as needed/requested.

  • Responsible for Roles, Governance and Security

  • Monitor, evaluate and audit system performance including all integrations, record types, system/business processes and ensuring data is flowing smoothly, accurately and system/workflow is operating optimally, making suggestions and/or recommendations to optimize performance, including 3rd party integrations.

  • Proactively improve, make recommendations, and create efficiencies of work and data flows within the NetSuite ERP system to achieve business continuity, efficiencies, and meet key stake holder requirements.

  • Understand current business processes and provide guidance on best practices to get the most from the NetSuite ERP system, implement solutions, and share results/impact.

  • Gather/scope requirements from key stakeholders, identify best options, present solutions/options to key stakeholders, test in sandbox, show results, schedule deployments, monitor post deployment and communicate deployment results.

  • Other requests as assigned by the Sr. Engineer Manager, IT Director, ELT or Key Stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience with minimum qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Software development of NetSuite One World, Financials, at global scale.

  • Critical thinking skills, problem solving, design, coding & debugging.

  • NetSuite development experience using SuiteScript 2.0, including-but not limited to-Client Scripts, User event Scripts, Map/Reduce Scripts and SuiteLets.

  • Skilled in integration approaches & strategies, preferably hands on experience in webservices (XML, SOAP, WSDL, etc)

  • Experience with Inventory Management, Accounting, Demand Planning, and Workflow Automation & Optimization in NetSuite.
