POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION:Warehouse Attendant

DEPARTMENT:Warehouse

LOCATION:Ottumwa

SALARY CLASS:Salary Non Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Warehouse Attendant position will be responsible for inventory management.

  • .Do cycle counts every month / spot checks of inventory

  • Be able to operate a powered industrial truck and small walking jack as needed to unload trailers.

  • Verify shipments against packaging slips.

  • Keep work areas clean.

  • Issue out parts and put away in coming parts

  • Other duties as needed.

  • Issue / Reverse goods Receipts

Working Conditions:

  • Production and maintenance settings

  • Exposure to various chemicals and machinery.

  • Slippery floors, cold temperatures, Warm temps

  • Hours worked will be 2 days on 3 days off 2 days on 2 days off 3 days on

Relationships:

Internal: Employees on the production line and plant management

Special Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English

  • Bilingual skills helpful

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills

  • Computer knowledge required

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to work 50+ hours

  • Good attendance and safety records

  • Plus have working knowledge of Excel and Word.

  • Maintenance back round would be helpfulfor identifying parts

  • System skills–SAP

  • Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision

Education:

  • High School degree or equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
