Summary

Bell Canada's Corporate Security team is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager, Security Architecture. This role will operate under the guidance of the Director – Information Security and play a crucial part in shaping our Information Security strategies across BCE and its family of companies.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated leader with a proven history in Information Security Architecture, driving a strategic vision. You will possess a strategic mindset and deep expertise in designing and implementing robust security solutions to protect our organization's critical assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and advance the corporate security architecture strategy and control framework to ensure a secure IT environment against current and emerging threats.

  • Manage and mentor a team of senior security specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Align the company's security architecture with business objectives and industry best practices, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop security solutions and support the implementation of Bell's security strategy.

  • Helm strategic security projects, driving the end-to-end requirements and leading business case development for programs in response to the threat landscape

  • Define, build, and oversee information security roadmaps, ensuring that all technology advances are systematically secure.

  • Guide and consult on technical controls and best practices, ensuring regulatory compliance and security framework alignments (ISO 27001/27002, NIST, etc.).

  • Spearhead the creation and maintenance of policy and technical documentation to support security integration into project management and operational workflows.

  • Analyze and present complex security subjects and investment opportunities to executives, highlighting the importance of cybersecurity investments.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of current platforms and processes, pinpointing security weaknesses and improvement opportunities.

  • Provide strategic oversight in the architecture and deployment of security solutions across cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.

  • Provide a strong focus around Zero-trust architecture transformation and change management

Critical Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field; Masters preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in information security, with a robust understanding of network systems, IT infrastructure, architecture, application development, and project management.

  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team of information security professionals.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of software development lifecycles, including Waterfall, Scrum, and Agile methodologies.

  • Familiarity with formal architectural methodologies, such as TOGAF.

  • Expertise in cloud computing, cloud migration strategies, Identity and Access Management, and emerging technologies such as Containers, IoT, 5G, and Gen AI.

  • Professional security management certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) are preferred.

  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.

  • Being bilingual in English and French would be a significant asset.

Working Conditions

• Candidacy is contingent upon passing a stringent security clearance check, including a criminal record review.

• Eligibility to acquire a Government of Canada Security Clearance is mandatory.
