ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

The Quality Coordinator for our ESAP project (Energy Services Acquisition Program) is in Ottawa and typically reports directly to the Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, inspecting, controlling, and evaluating the quality of documentation required on the project with occasional site inspections.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Implement quality assurance standards and procedures.

  • Recording and report on quality data

  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems.

  • Review Material Receiving Reports

  • Coordinate Non-Destructive Examination services and requests.

  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.

  • Investigate non-conformance issues.

  • Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.

  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.

  • Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.

  • Document management systems.

  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or college diploma in engineering technology is recommended.

  • Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years of Quality Control & Quality Assurance experience in the Industrial Construction industry

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a quality role

  • Organization and time management

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Knowledge of BIM360 would be an asset.

  • Valid drivers' license

  • Ability to obtain Government security clearance.
