Are you the person we are looking for?

As a successful candidate, you will be a member of a dedicated, passionate group which supports and improves the QNX® product delivery pipeline. Working in tandem with the product and services engineering teams, your DevOps team role will provide you with exciting opportunities to optimize and improve infrastructure to deliver the QNX® product suite to end customers and partners.

What you will do:

  • Drive the evolution of our CI/CD infrastructure and software delivery platform, with a focus on building and improving our existing processes, pipelines, and tools.

  • Innovate and streamline existing CI/CD platforms where required.

  • Maintain and support existing CI/CD software delivery platforms.

  • Manage and support platforms like: JIRA, Jama, Reviewboard, GitHub, Jenkins and TeamForge.

  • Develop and implement new infrastructure related to build and software delivery.

  • Support the business in transitioning to new platforms where required.

  • Participate in product and platform certification projects.

  • Participate in an on-call support rotation.

What you will need:

  • Five to seven years of relevant work experience

  • An Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Extensive DevOps experience working in both Linux and Windows.

  • Strong scripting knowledge, with preference to Python, PHP, Bash, Perl.

  • Proficiency in database management, with preference to MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL.

  • Hands-on experience working with automated CI/CD environments like Gitlab or Jenkins.

  • Basic system administration experience in Linux and/or Windows environments.

  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools

  • Proven experience with source code management tools such as SVN and GIT.

  • Experience with Containerization, Virtualization, and cloud-based environments like (QEMU, KVM, Docker)

  • Familiarity with networking protocols and services.

  • Proven ability to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution.

Additional Skills

  • Experience with C, C++

  • Automation testing tools: Selenium

  • System automation: Puppet, Chef

  • Experience with ISO or other certification processes

  • Familiarity with the software lifecycle (requirements through delivery).

  • Experience with embedded software.
