Heidelberg Materials is seeking a 310T Licensed Truck Mechanic for our Sheffield location who will provide service to our plant locations in Ashton, Arnprior, Pembroke, Aylmer and Sheffield.

What you’ll get to do

  • Lubricate and perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks and other equipment as required.

  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose problems.

  • Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to company standards.

  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.

  • Diagnose and perform power train component repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and perform hydraulic system repairs.

  • Repair suspension and steering systems.

  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications

  • Will maintain good housekeeping and complete work orders on equipment.

  • Makes minor repairs including welding and cutting.

  • Will perform other duties and assignments as required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent

  • Valid 310T Ontario (Truck and Coach Mechanic) License

  • 2 years of journeyman level mechanic experience preferred

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend maintenance manuals

  • Must have complete knowledge of truck air brake systems with the ability to diagnose and repair problems

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems

  • Requires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positions.
